  My Background

I currently spend most of my editing time on fiction and creative non-fiction. I enjoy working with a variety of genres. I have taken many courses in fiction editing, and continue to learn through ongoing professional training. I appreciate the love—and sometimes the pain—behind each manuscript, and I also understand the beauty of the written word.

My prior professional background enables me to take on a variety of editing work from businesses, academic institutions, and nonprofit agencies. These include business reports and proposals, human resource materials, training and compliance guides, research reports, evaluations, grant proposals, data collection forms, student dissertations and theses, and many other types of documents. 

I had the pleasure of proofreading a family member's self-published book, which led me to an interest in working with authors on their creative endeavors!
